First of all the lamp turned out to be better than expected and actually looked aesthetically pleasing. It has become a great addition to your wardrobe. However, there are the following observations: Pros: It is fairly easy to set up the chain for hanging (pliers are needed to remove links and wire cutters/strippers are needed to shorten electrical wires). The mounting plate matches the ceiling box well and the chords are well labeled as ground, neutral and voltage. Cons: Heavier than expected. I had to replace the ceiling box and truss rod to hold the weight. The grounded copper wire was exposed - which was aesthetically pleasing but actually made us uncomfortable as it was routed from the outlet, through the circuit from the outlet, and through the mounting plate. I connected all the wires and put electrical tape on the floor. After that - everything is fine. The gems on the chandelier are a pain in the ass - you have to install a few and screw down the last chandelier arm with mounting screws after you've put the bulb in - and you'll have to remove them if the bulb ever needs to be replaced.
