I have Restless Legs Syndrome and it can really ruin a good night's sleep. I borrowed a smaller blanket and it worked, but it was too small so I went for a much larger blanket. The weight is evenly distributed so the 20's checkers have the same "feel" as the 10's throw, but stays in place much better due to the extra 10's holding the rest of the quilt in place. This blanket is comfortable and soft. The instructions recommend purchasing a duvet cover as it (any brand!) can be difficult to wash. It is heavy and has many pockets of heavy beads. It's best to wash your hands, but it's a workout. When wet, this thing weighs over 50 pounds. So yes, a duvet cover is a must! I recommend to everyone.
