When I received it I wasn't sure because the combs are small. Due to the size of the comb, they are difficult to hold on the hair. I've been using decorative combs with regular combs for years with no problems. I managed to persuade her to stay home using bobby pins and other items with hairspray on them. I recommend them with the caveat that you need to figure out how they work. I get a lot of compliments on how my hair is styled. Everyone loves the overall look of the decorative elements.
