Review on Canon XA15 Professional Camcorder by Aaron Carney

We bought this to replace the Canon XA-25. We need an SDI HD output as we are streaming 300ft live over SDI coax into the overflow area and also recording to MP4 for YouTube upload and editing. I guided him through all his steps. The video clarity is much better. Particularly dim lighting. In addition, the automatic white balance does its job very well. We're shooting under a tent, which gives the room a red glow, and the auto white balance setting removed that. All connections and general setup were identical to the XA-25, and it uses the same batteries, SD cards and charger. The LCD screen is the same size. I uploaded a clip. The sound in the clip does not come from the built-in microphone, but from our deck via a wireless connection. The built-in microphone seems overly sensitive to background noise such as fans and air conditioners, so this should be taken into account. I am very happy with this purchase.
