We have just purchased a bread maker and this highly regarded bread slicer. It's easy to use. Simply insert the bottom tray into the slot according to your desired thickness, place the bread on the left side of the machine, insert a bread knife (not included) into the top slot and slice back and forth. After slicing a few loaves of bread, the plastic still doesn't look cut. There is a buffer zone on the left side so you don't cut through the plastic with every cut. My main criticism is that the unit has a bottom crumb tray, clear plastic side, perforated bread rack, and top. Each of them needs to be taken apart if you want to properly clean the device. Ideal for creating evenly sliced bread, from fluffy to dense bread!
