Review on Securely Attach Your Garmin Nuvi with i.Trek Sticky Mount (Black) by Steve Guillen

When I made the decision to purchase the Garmin Nuvi I also looked at many different mounts to find the perfect setup for my old Ford Explorer. I didn't want to glue the disk to the top of the dashboard. and indeed there aren't many flat areas in this car that could be used next to the driver. Attaching the vent clip failed spectacularly! Luckily, one of my purchases (the cheapest of them all, btw) was this ChargerCity adhesive mount. I found the bottom of a flat comb just below the radio, big enough for this bracket. I've already decided that I'll also screw a small 3/8" metal screw into each corner of the mounting plate just to make sure it doesn't come loose. But the 3M glue used on this mount is some serious glue .... I don't think I'd need to add screws. Really make sure they're where you want them when you peel off the paper and lay it down. I wouldn't want to try and pry this thing out after I did touched the glue on any surface! The Nuvi clip that holds the GPS and attaches to this (or any other) mount is very firm. You need to use a little force to push it in and out with the Remove the ball portion of the mount, there are absolutely no issues with this dash location or the strength of the mount itself. The ChargerCity adhesive mount couldn't be more effective than it actually is and I'm very pleased in order to!
