Double-sided tape in the summer season.

With the onset of summer, the double-sided tape between the bracket and the dashboard surface literally shrank and lost its adhesive properties. Now I keep my GPS in the glove box until I find a mount that can withstand the heat. I bought this because of its small signature (size). It held up well in the winter but lost in the summer heat.

Simply functional, simply ingenious!

I bought one of these little mounts two years ago because the suction cup was too bulky and the dash mount was in my line of sight. The first thing I liked about this mount is that it is so small and takes up little space to install. I cleaned the area on the dash under the AWD controls on my H2 with denatured alcohol and let it dry. I'm happy to report that the double sided tape on this mount has held up to all conditions. The mount itself is adjustable at different angles and has never…

Love this: GPS, Finder & Accessories

I've always hated suction cup mounts, even the best ones fall off over time. No matter how well you fitted them, how clean your windshield was, or how well you sealed them, they would fall off, usually at night when the temperature fluctuated, sometimes while driving. for about 2 years, one for GPS, one for my phone, and I've even customized one to make myself a little blind spot mirror next to my rear view mirror. If you need to move one or adjust the position after you've pasted it, it's not…

Everything is perfect so far - GPS, finder and accessories

I'm REALLY disappointed with the Garmin Nuvi suction cup mount. This worked fine on my old small device, but when upgrading to a larger screen, the suction cup didn't work. After searching the internet for different mounting options, I found the sticky I.Trek mount. The mount is surprisingly small and compact (I actually thought it was $10 when I opened the package? But after a few weeks of use, I was sold out). Time to really clean the dash area (with anhydrous alcohol) and let it dry…

Garmin Nuvi Sticky Mount (great product) For Nuvi 660

Very happy with this product. Had a window mount and switched to a bean bag mount which was better. Due to the strong daytime sun, the device's image was glaring. Other mounts connected to the air vents didn't work well. I received this device and was able to connect to my dashboard alongside my radio and CD player. Now it's easier to get there and the view is no longer spoiled by the sun. It's easier to look at because you can rotate it to any position. I managed to tie the cord since the…

A small device that could.

When I made the decision to purchase the Garmin Nuvi I also looked at many different mounts to find the perfect setup for my old Ford Explorer. I didn't want to glue the disk to the top of the dashboard. and indeed there aren't many flat areas in this car that could be used next to the driver. Attaching the vent clip failed spectacularly! Luckily, one of my purchases (the cheapest of them all, btw) was this ChargerCity adhesive mount. I found the bottom of a flat comb just below the radio, big…

Two problems solved.

I bought this for several reasons. First, I haven't had a secure suction cup mount yet. In the end, they all get so far that they fall down - and mostly while driving. Second, where I live, crime is (unfortunately) always a problem. From time to time we will hear from people aiming at cars with rings left by suction cup mounts on windshields. Look at the ring, determine that the GPS or other device is somewhere in the car, and smash the window to find out. I had to do a bit of googling to find…

Good product but needed minor modifications for my purpose

I bought an I.Trek adhesive mount to mount a Garmin DVR on my truck's windshield. My experience with the i.Trek mount is only with this camera. I can't speak of using this mount with any other device. Shipping was fast and the mount arrived in good condition. I have two cars that use a Garmin DVR so this is the second of two i.Trek adhesive mounts I have purchased. The adhesive on the i.Trek is very aggressive, so users should carefully plan the position of the mount before removing the back…
