Review on Super Antenna MP1DXTR80 SuperWhip Amateur by John Surabhi

Love this antenna

claims it's a bit pricey, but it's well built and easy to set up and use. Boxes likely to contain resistors or other lossy components, it doesn't need a tuner as you set it up yourself in seconds and in one easy step. It's a great airline travel companion, allowing you to fit an entire multi-band QRP station into a small backpack or a mount. ' and it rolls up in a snap without tools and can be installed almost anywhere with virtually no impact, no need for trees or other supports for wire antennas, it stands by itself on a flat surface, no stakes, no digging holes, no hams, nails stick or drill screws, climb trees or shoot them at trees or the like. And then it just works, and it works very well. It is essentially a non-motorized screw-in antenna with a very high quality factor and an efficient design that delivers performance at 20m and beyond that is almost indistinguishable from a full-height vertical antenna. And vertical means a small coverage angle, and if you want to work with DX, it hits the wire antenna almost every time.

Pros
  • FEATURES: The MP1DXTR80 includes the new NVIS SuperTilt feature for the UM2 SuperMount. This durable SuperWhip is made from an amazing new durable titanium metal alloy that is flexible enough to be rolled into a 12" diameter circle and slipped into a GB Super Go pocket. The TM1 low profile tripod mounts to any flat surface. The UM2 SuperMount mounts to most surfaces, fences, stairs, tables, benches, railings or any 1.25" pipe, post or balcony railing with the included U-bolt.
