This product is a great fit for a multi-input hub. I understand there were some bad reviews about it shutting down randomly, but I didn't have that problem. I can say that sometimes such cases occur due to device malfunctions or things gone wrong. However, this hub has worked for me with most USB, USB-C, and HDMI so far. I've also tried SD cards and they worked flawlessly. I can say with confidence that I tried "overloading" them with all ports and I had no problems. I did it not long ago, but for that time I usually did it. I would like to point out that one of the USB-C ports, besides HDMI, is not a transmit port, but either inputs or outputs power. I feel like I can say that as long as you have a proper USB-C that can handle a lot of ports (I have a 15-inch Razer Blade) it should work fine and be very cheap for its capabilities.
