I have it during the day and it works well except the lowest volume is too loud for me when I want to play music while doing something else. I had it on volume level 2, the lowest level (volume 1 silence) and it was pretty loud. When I unplugged and plugged this product back in, I found that volume level 2 is the normal volume level 4 when plugged in. When the volume changes, a small beep sounds. Aside from the volume issue (is there a way to fix this?), this is an elegant solution and I would rate the product higher without this issue. As it is, I don't know if this product will work for me. Update: A colleague who was thinking of buying 2 of these tried it and experienced the same disappointment. i give it back Three lost sales.
