I've had three of these aerators and probably won't be buying another. I love them but I keep breaking them - my fault because for some reason I'm very clumsy when it comes to them, but that also means they're a bit coy. Of course, things made of glass are fragile, so this is not a quality defect. It aerates the wine really well - I can feel the difference using this one or not and I've used other aerators and this one works a little better. .This aerator offers good functionality and ease of use. The cork works well in all the wine bottles I've tried it in; I'd say it leaked a little maybe once or twice, and I've been using them for years. This style of aerator offers one-handed aeration, making it a little easier/more comfortable to use than the kind you hold when pouring wine. I have a Vinturi aerator which I really like, it requires two hands and you have to be careful not to spill wine on the counter etc. This aerator is also great in a bottle. Not that it matters, but the design and beautiful glass make the wine bottle look beautiful. My only complaint is that this aerator is harder to keep clean. If you can rinse it out with hot water fairly quickly after use, it cleans fairly well, but if (like I sometimes do) you spend two or three days downing a bottle of red wine and leaving the aerator on the entire time, then then the wine cleared. tend to stick to and foul the walls of the aerator. I have yet to find a tool to access the curved sides of this aerator structure. I was able to clean it by soaking it in hot soapy water for a while and shaking the water over and over, but it took a while. Of course, it cannot be washed in the dishwasher. So we can say that this aerator works well, fits well in the bottle and is pleasant to use. If you can clean it sooner rather than later to avoid stains and be gentle with it, it will be a great aerator for you.
