Cannot carry high currents, long length

I purchased this cable when I got my Droid Incredible 4G LTE smartphone. I travel more than 240 days a year for work and many hotels just don't have outlets close enough to a bed or desk to be useful. I thought this cable was the answer to my prayers. Unfortunately, it can't handle the high current required to power and charge most high-end smartphones. With my Droid Incredible 4G LTE the maximum current I've seen on the phone is 300mA. I tried the Motorola OEM 850mA USB Wall Charger and the 2A Nook Color USB Wall Charger, both times the phone didn't get more than 300mA. I ran both tests with the phone in airplane mode to ensure the radios weren't affecting charging speeds. For the price and only for devices with less current this is a normal cable. The quality of the standard size and micro USB connectors is above average for a non-genuine cable at this price point. Here's a much better extended cable option if you can get by with 6 feet instead of 10: Media Bridge - USB 2.0 A Male to Micro B Cable (6 feet) A media bridge cable can deliver as much power as you throw can at it. on it, even though it's almost twice the diameter of this cable, which probably explains it. I use Mediabridge when traveling (see my full review on the product page) and only care about the missing 4ft. I wish this cable could carry the full power as it would be much more convenient in older hotels, but it just can't handle the power demands of high-end devices.
