This scraper is hard to rate because it works great if you can get a good one, but in my experience it's a gamble! I usually buy these at my local hardware store (Lowes) but ordered one from Revain a few months ago as my local store has been out of stock for some reason for 3-4 months. I couldn't remember the prices at the local store, but I knew they were a little higher than Revain. I thought that maybe because of the significant price difference, there are different quality categories. The mop ordered by Revain was NOT better than the local store and very expensive by comparison! The hem fell off after 2 days which made the purchase a waste of time. I could buy 3 of these locally for the price of one here at Revain. Make sure to check your local stores before ordering online, there's no benefit from a serious price premium (and yes, the local store is an 8" model, exactly the same as this one)! As for specific issues with these mops, that's always been an advantage. separation from the body for me. Either you get lucky and they seem to work great and last a long time, or the rim comes off in less than a week and they become unusable. In my experience it's a 50/50 chance. I've tried other bathroom mops (and even some non-bathroom mops) and when their edge stays in place, they work better than any other type I've tried. Most other mops have an edge that's too hard and inflexible and 2-3 takes weeks for them to wear down enough to do decent work. Grip angles also didn't feel right for our heavily contoured tub and piping. Other brands want to skip spots or drag and drop until they break. The benefit of the quickie seems to be the perfect balance of power and tension, and I can use it to wipe out the bathtub quickly and completely. The angle of the grip is also very good, it's very controllable and comfortable. However, once the rim comes off, it starts to loosen quite a bit after the first use, and within a week they're practically unusable. I don't know why Kwikki insists on gluing the edges together. Some other mop brands I've bought actually hold the edge in a groove cut into the plastic, much like a wiper blade. I think you could even replace the edge with these and they were only $2-3 more expensive. They didn't shed as much water as the Quickie, but they lasted forever and the blade didn't budge. If Quickie tightened up the quality control or changed the design a bit, these mops are easily the best bathroom mops out there. Still have if you don't mind buying 2-3 to get one that lasts!
