I ordered a similar item from another brand on ebay in size M, since that is typically my size, but it was a bit snug and wasn't flowy enough. I exchanged for L and it fit perfectly so I ordered L in this one. The other brand also didn't have a pocket :(The waistband fit nicely to give the shorts that "flowy" look, however the inner biker shorts are so roomy I had to sew them tighter. I love that these have a pocket.
