Update 12/19/2020: The manufacturer was kind enough to send another replacement diverter valve and the system is working like new again. Their world-class product support ensures customer concerns are addressed. A stronger or more user-friendly reversing valve would be a welcome improvement. Update November 2020: I am using a second diverter valve and it is already leaking worse than the first. Good replacement filter design but unfortunately lacks durability which defeats the purpose of the replaceable filter feature. The search for a reliable faucet filtration system continues. Initial review: The last pair of Brita faucet filter systems only lasted 6 months before they started leaking or the plastic arm broke rendering them unusable so I decided to try something else. I have discovered this new type of table top filter system and it works very reliably with no mechanical problems or leaks. The plastic lever for switching between tap water and filtered water is very strong and requires a lot less force to operate than previous systems I've tried. Another advantage is that the filter cartridge is not mounted on the fitting head, so it is hardly noticeable and unobtrusive. . As long as you have enough countertop space, this type of filtration system has many additional benefits over faucet-mounted styles, including a larger filter that lasts twice as long. There is no indication of the remaining life of the filter but they are for a year with average usage so I just set a yearly reminder for myself to keep track of when the filter needs replacing.
