The big problem I have with vented stands is that they don't hold up very well. This one has a screw clamp that can be knocked down with a hammer (take the vent with you). It comes with a spare which is very good. So far I've had it on the same vent without the slightest wobble. The mount also came with a power converter with two USB ports. One for "upload" and a second port which I assume is for a simple passenger in your car who needs to charge their device. The wireless charging does a great job of charging while it's in the dock. I think it's important to mention that I ordered two of these and one didn't work. Thankfully, Revain replaced it surprisingly quickly. Both work great now. So far, so good. I'd also like to point out that this typically means using Bluetooth only for music or accessing your phone in the car. I'm not sure what happens if you connect the cable to your device while charging wirelessly, but the whole point of this stand is to avoid charging your device with the cable. like an animal.
