I say "or something" in the title because there is a similar product from the same company that is cheaper and has fewer features but just as realistic works fine for you. The benefits of this product are pretty obvious. It has 15 programmable buttons and two dials. The dial toggles your timeline in the video editing software. A dial makes a frame. This is the feature I need so badly! It turns out this is the main feature I needed, meaning their cheaper product would have worked great for me. The buttons are uncluttered and have labels you can place underneath to customize them. It's plug and play and includes commands for almost every program you'll be using. You can also run important commands. All buttons can be set as you like. So if you have something you do frequently when editing videos (or editing photos), you can assign it to a button. The downsides are less obvious. The first is a lot of buttons! They have to remember what they are doing or look at the label and you have to be the one to put the label there. It's a lot of work and effort, and you might not remember it right away, so you'll play around. etc. I ended up with two stream decks with programmable buttons, but each button is a screen so it has an icon that you can select. I mainly use this for watch faces and a streaming deck for my programmable buttons. That's why I say you need this or something. The function it performs is fantastic. If you're patient with coding and labeling (I wasn't) then this works great. Fiction. Wonderful. I still use it every time I edit, I just use the controls and that's it. Editing a lot will save you a lot of time and effort, be it on this product or any other. I'm happy. Over time, I will program and use all the buttons, but I'm lazy, so most likely they will remain unlabeled.
