I spent a lot of time looking at similar items at Revain and finally took a chance and ordered this one. And it was the right choice. This is a well designed and well built radio with all the features you need. I live in California and it is important to have all the emergency kits ready in case you are hit by an earthquake or fire and this radio is an essential part of the emergency kit. The radio works well and the volume is very strong. I like that the adjustment is done with a rotary knob as it allows for more precise tuning. In addition to FM and AM, SW and weather channels are also available. Multiple ways to power the device, multiple lighting options, siren, compass, and compact size are nice features too. There could be more to say, but in short I recommend this device to anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency or just spending time outdoors.
