VERY ambiguous rating, really 2.5, but I've rounded up. On the plus side, they're cheap, the right size (I have a California King), and soft. For the price I wasn't dissatisfied with the quality and overall a decent choice for a guest bedroom etc. I also like that the sheets are 2 flat as I have a waterbed that regular fitted sheet sets will not fit. On the other hand, the biggest disappointment was the TERRIBLE color; I ordered purple and the picture definitely shows a real purple bed sheet that would match my current pillowcases, bedspread etc. Instead, it's a hideous brownish burgundy; Nobody would honestly call it purple. I'm trying to find something nicer and of course they clash horribly with my pillowcases etc. If the color was a bit off but still purple I wouldn't be so disgusted but it's disgusting. I've seen other reviews complain about the colors not being accurate (someone ordered lime and got sage green!) but curly purple is common enough and the picture was so perfect. Less important, as expected given the price, they're pretty thin. They held up well to the first wash yesterday (I always wash them before first use) but I wonder how they will hold up with regular use. I'm also disappointed that there aren't any pillowcases available for purchase that I could see; at least matching cases will make this nasty color less harsh.
