We've had the leather collar for too long and it's time to replace it. These collars are great value and definitely an improvement over other collars we've had before. There are a few things that we really liked and that our dog will most likely like even more. First of all, the closure design and the length adjustment. It differs from the traditional waist collar we had in that it has quick release buckles that attach and remove very easily. No more excuses not to take it off at night. puppy wins. Adjusting the length is really a breeze by simply moving the sturdy plastic knob. And it holds up very well. Splitting and customizing the buckles is a great idea. compared to a belt like collar. The fabric is also very good. It's definitely as strong as the straps on my mountain pack lol. But it is a softer and smoother material that is more suitable for puppies. We want these collars to be highly odor resistant, similar to other nylon materials and unlike leather. The collar width is optimal for our dog and probably most other dogs. It is wider than our previous collars. Those tighter collars made my dad cough when she pulled tight. This has never happened with these wider ones. They're also surprisingly lighter despite looking larger. Probably thanks to the fabric and plastic buckles. It has a decent range of sizes. Our dog weighs 13 pounds. I took two sizes M and thought they were too big for her when I first saw them. But on the first point above I found it very easy to resize and fit a decent range of neck widths. It can hold up to 30-35 pounds based on experience and feel. Definitely recommended.
