I bought this part because the trunk of my 2007 speedo wouldn't open. I watched a video of a person tying a shoelace to unlock it and have been using this method for a while, but if you want to do this replacing this panel/switch is a must. It took 10 minutes from start to finish (after removing the back panel) and you get the bonus of cleaning up behind the hatch handle which was absolutely gross. Funny little fix, but make sure you have the right size torx bits to get the derailleur out of your grip after you take it off.
