This part is for 2013 new Body 07 models and will not work on 2014 onwards trucks unless you remove the plastic board. the suitcase and from there into the suitcase of a newer truck and even then. Did a great job fixing my trailer brake controller for a much cheaper price than going through a dealer. Replacing the brake controls was very easy, 2012 Chevrolet Silverado LT 3500. I simply unscrewed the two Phillips head screws to release the dash at the bottom of the steering column, then use a screwdriver to pry the trim slightly, unplug the connector, bend the tabs, the hold the brake controller, push it out, insert a new one and secure it with the tabs, reinstall the connector, reinstall
