This is an exact replacement for my original Himalayan Salt Lamp, only better! It's improved! This new cable has extra screws on the dimmer part which I think means it should last longer. My old cable had a short where one of the wires goes to the dimmer. Very easy replacement and a lot cheaper than going to your local hardware store and trying to hook up a new dimmer. Bulb not included, so if you want a new bulb order 5-25 watt (maximum), 120 volt, E-12 base chandelier. Don't buy an LED because you need the warmth of an incandescent bulb to heat the salt for a therapeutic effect.
