I bought this light to hang in our baby closet which had no light. I used the included velcro and it fell off the ceiling after a week. After that I screwed two screws into the ceiling and haven't had any problems since, I just prefer to hang things that don't leave holes in my walls and ceiling. The lighting is quite bright and the hanger for the remote control is conveniently placed in the closet. I can't say much about the battery usage as I haven't cycled through a battery pack where I haven't found the light was on for an unknown amount of time. So be careful, if your family has a problem turning off the light, you can use up a lot of batteries.
