Won't stick to shirts

I love Cricut. my favorite so far. But those heat transfer vinyls just didn't fit. Especially yellow. I sat and held the heat press on the vinyl for a full 5 minutes and it still didn't stick. The best color was blue. But I still had to hold the red there for 2-3 minutes to eat. I had to go out and buy another roll of a different brand of vinyl to complete the order in time.
