Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didnt expect the quality to be so high.

Bought to replace iMac 27 for video editing. He did not exceed my expectations, he expected something more from the M1, but you must be aware that he is not included in the PRO segment. It is quite possible to work in Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Davinci Resolve, etc. With sufficiently large loads, it does not fly like a tank through the mud, but it copes and, most importantly, does not boil like an aluminum iMac 27 on Intel, burning thermal paste and a chip. It is completely good for photography and design, there are no complaints other than praise, the monitor is on top. For video editing, it is also quite suitable, but now after six months of use on video editing, I would give my choice for this money for the Mac Studio in the basic configuration on the M1 Max.

Pros
  • Lightweight, thin, excellent detailed 4.5K monitor, does not heat up under heavy loads, Touch ID on the keyboard pleases, got rid of the constant set of passwords, keyboard and mouse with built-in power, holds a charge for about a month, charges relatively quickly (cable included) . Everything you need for use is in the box from the store, you don’t need to buy anything in addition, except for card readers as needed.
Cons
  • There is nothing to complain about in general, except that some applications still not adapted to the M1 are supported only through Rosetta, but I quickly realized that this socket gives a terribly unjustified RAM leak. It's a matter of time, everything that is needed is gradually adapted to M1.
