It does exactly what it's supposed to do! I have a large chain size and a thin chain size. it removes everything from any cooking surface. I use it on cast iron, copper, stainless steel, enameled cast iron. It's great for removing the crust from regular pans and baking sheets. I have used it in the kitchen and workshop. I used one when I was a pot washer at a restaurant during the summer in high school and was amazed at how much easier it made my job than using those washcloths. It might seem a bit high for your needs, but you more than make up for it in durability and quality.
