I have upgraded my previous rating from one to three stars due to the excellent customer care and service. I bought this strainer to make Greek yogurt. We used a colander over a bowl and it worked great except the colander's handle got in the way and took up valuable fridge space. I thought it would be better to buy a real strainer since we make yogurt about every 5 days. This device sifts off some whey, but "Greek yogurt" after 8 hours of sieving is very runny compared to good. thick consistency sift through a bowl. Identical recipe, two filter options. We haven't tried it for other uses, like making nut milk, and it might work well for that purpose. My original post explained the issues I was having and the company contacted me and I feel like the issue has been resolved. I'm so impressed that there are still sellers with such conscientiousness!
