We found the collar worked most of the time, but sometimes it behaves a little oddly. Accidentally it was too sensitive and would work if our pup bumped into something. Sometimes it doesn't work when she barks, but I would say that 90% of the time it works as it should. We are basically satisfied with the collar and can recommend it. Also, we never used the shock option, just the beep/vibration. We bought this for our Golden Retriever puppy (3 months old) to wear in her cage just to teach her not to bark in the cage. Overall, it worked out great and she learned quickly. That doesn't mean she never barks in her cage, but she only does so in the mornings when she's ready for the potty. We love the color too!
