Keep falling. - Hardware

I've been using team books for 13 years now but their stickiness has really gone down the drain. away from the wall, so I pulled so hard that part of the wall came loose. Spring. With these new strips, I just pull the hook and they come off. Or if I put a winter coat on (bigger hooks) they just fall off. So disappointed. Oh, and I wiped the surface down with rubbing alcohol as suggested.
