Review on 🧩 FTCBlock: Breadboard for Arduino Distribution & Easy Connection by Darrell Shreves

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great kit for the price

Not sure about a 4 star rating right now but as there are no reviews yet let me be the first. In fact I already have a few large breadboards from this company and while I haven't used them extensively I haven't seen any problems. A recent review of this pack showed that they encountered unrelated points, but I have to wonder if they used them correctly. The next two paragraphs apply to the two large breadboards, but also apply to the small ones. Jumper wires are also great for basic Arduino work when jumping from board to board, but you probably still want a traditional breadboard wiring set with small jumpers so you don't create huge rat's nests all the time. . This can be a big debugging problem. On the other hand, most Arduino projects only require a few connections compared to the old days of TTL breadboard logic for your project. (Yes, I know I date myself.) It's hard for an electronics hobbyist to have too many breadboards. They're similar to the last breadboard I bought a few years ago, with a modular center and power rail design held together by a sheet of double-sided foam tape. The bottom plastic layer can be removed if you want to glue it to a larger board (my old screws needed). There's also a ledge and socket around the edge so you can line up and lock multiple boards together. You can even remove one or more power rails if you want to rearrange them for some reason. The tension bars are marked with +/- and colored stripes to keep them straight. The main breadboard is also numbered five rows. Everything is pretty standard these days, but it looks good. Overall I am very happy with the set I received. beo

Pros
  • The breadboard consists of many small connectors on the board designed for experimenting with electronic circuits without soldering.
Cons
  • Big and chunky
