Overall a great addition to increase tripod height for filming sports games. The black and red anodizing looks crisp. The soft handle also makes it comfortable to hold in hand. The only problem is the spring-loaded 3/8-16 screw mount. This idea seems ingenious at first glance, you just click on it when you want to open the 1/4-20 bolt. However, I attached the head with a 3/8 screw and tightened it. But with a spring, there will be slack and wobble no matter how tight you tighten it. There is no problem installing the 1/4-20 bolt as it is only hardwired if you try to use the 3/8 spring loaded screw. I solved this problem by adding my own 1/4-20 to 3/8-16 adapter. I pressed the built in 3/8 bolt and screwed my own adapter onto the 1/4 bolt. I then hooked up a 3/8 head to my adapter and it works much better. The head stood firmly, without play and play.
