Purchased recently so can't comment on the strength and durability of the product but WOW what a universal radio for the price! I don't usually write reviews, but I would like to say a few words about this product. The sound quality is good considering all the different features of this radio. I use the FM band regularly and it picks up stations very well. I still have to get used to the knob. You have to keep one hand on the knob and the other on the tuning knob or the radio will get a little finicky and risk falling over. I wish the bottom was a little stronger and allowed more balance. The radio fell on my head several times because of this, but thank God it didn't break. Suffice to say I think this radio will last a long time if I'm responsible and don't drop it on hard surfaces. I don't use AM or shortwave very often as I have a digital radio that I use for those bands but I needed a weather band radio so I got the KA340. Bluetooth and the SD card are game changers. The flashlight and flashlight are bright and can be widely used when camping and kept handy in bad weather.
