Looks solid. As it comes rolled up there are some creases on the black side which could come out with leather care. I personally would only wear dark brown and not on both sides. The leather smell is a bit strong but not bad after a week, lying in the sun for a few days can help. It won't deter me. Contrary to other comments, the belt cannot be shortened, so order the right size. The buckle design is firmly attached to the skin, not screwed like the pictures. I had the same pants as my waist and they fit the middle hole.
