Considering the price I wasn't expecting much from them but bought them because they were exactly what I was looking for and the reviews were good. I use them when sawing wood with a chainsaw to keep the wood chips out of my boots and socks. As I use them in the woods I expected the cables to fail soon so I removed them after one use although they worked fine and were not damaged. The hooks (a nice feature) and the stretchy top keep the goal in place and after wearing it 6 times in the forest with mud and snow it won't wear out. I like the low ankle height because I wanted to cover the top of my 10 inch boots and thought it would be too hot in a higher collar. My feet don't get too hot even at 50 degrees and they stay warm at 25 degrees. I've never chopped wood in warm weather, so I can't comment on how comfortable they are in temperatures above 50. In short, they are perfect for my needs.
