I live in an apartment building and my indoor security camera wasn't working at night to monitor parking outside my window due to a terrible reflective problem. So I was offered this opportunity to try this camera in exchange for an honest review. I welcomed this opportunity as this product has a solar panel which is useful as I don't have an outside power source. Setup was easy if you followed the instructions methodically and only took a few minutes. For the physical installation, I drilled through the bezel's fairly hard surface and I would recommend using stainless or other screws for outdoor installation, as the screws provided are soft metal that can be easily removed. Once you have the mounting base, assembling the camera and panel is very easy. Also suggest installing the solar panel on the unit before going up the stairs - it will make it easier to connect the cable. Just don't over tighten the plate as once the camera is in place you will need to rotate and tilt the plate to maximize direct sunlight. Once you are happy with the placement, tighten. Little did I know there would be pan and tilt functionality accessed by swiping the screen in the app while viewing an image. This is a good feature! The picture is clear day and night. You can add an SD card to take pictures and videos. The camera can be easily removed to bring it inside for charging. I haven't had to do this yet as the solar panel does the trick. I keep it in a place where the sun will illuminate the first half of the day and then the ambient air. After a few days of very cloudy weather, the camera's charge got pretty low, but it never turned off. I'll keep watching and adjusting the position of the panel. Very satisfied so far!
