Updated review. If the LED strip inside just pulled out, you may have something. Because everything is twisted, you only get a quarter of the light output from each side angle. In addition, the design does not allow light to escape from the butt. The other day I was working right under one of them and it was like working in the shadows. As bright as the bulb as a whole is, I still had to use a spotlight to see what I was doing directly under that bulb. Overall I don't like the design/performance. They provide enough light in the basement that I can find my way to one of my upgraded fixtures with two 4" LED tubes to turn on some really bright light.
