This is a plain, simple and fully functional product. I can't or it's very hard to see an error from it. There is a "middle" support between the two mini-boxes, so propping up the monitor doesn't cause the surface to flex inward in the middle. The four separate risers work, retracting is a little tricky, but pulling out (pull out) will feel every step with a "click" / "lock" sound. You can complain and it's worth 5 stars. However, due to the design, finish, feel, sliding pattern, and even just the feel of the product, one does not get the sense of "elegance" or cutting edge. Every component (stand, drawer, riser) isn't much different than molded ABS plastic (although advertised as HIPS), no additional finishing - colors, textures, etc. Maybe even a little "sandblasted" texture feel makes a lot better in perception.
