It was easy to set up. Note that this light requires AC power. I think it's necessary because high color rendering index LEDs draw more power than many of the battery-powered competitors. What pleasantly surprised me is that the tripod can be used at a height of 20 inches, which is the perfect height to put on my desk behind the monitor for those zoom meetings (the description says a minimum height of 27 Customs service). For photo shoots, however, the tripod extends to the full height. The light is bright but maybe not as bright as I would like for photoshoots. But for the price it's great. The quality of the light is excellent, I tested it on several color samples and it was very believable. The skin tone is very good. Since I can continuously adjust the color temperature, I can calibrate the color with my camera. All in all, this light meets all the requirements of an inexpensive, bright, flexible ring light.
