The toy can be opened and closed. Don't expect this toy to teach your LO how to form shapes, colors or count. There's nothing instructive about that. No interactive learning with shapes, colors or counting. I figured that would count since the shapes were placed in the bowl. You are not. And the "Underwater Rainbow" song he sings sucks because it doesn't make any sense. Nothing to do with the creatures in this set. None of the songs match your child's interaction with this toy. it said. The animals are cute. It's great how to input and output games. Not exactly as advertised. Confound.
