Seriously, I was concerned my leather cases might be ruined by all that hand sanitizer I used outside. I was looking for cloth and nylon wallets and bought two Travelon bags. The first was about 2.3 times cheaper than this one, was a bit shapeless and looked sloppily sewn. This one was a rock star. Liquids run off directly, it is stiffer and better processed than the cheaper ones. I can't comment on how "safe" it is because that's not what I bought it for. I would definitely buy another Travelon bag but I recommend buyers check out their best bags.
