For almost 10 years I've been looking for a desktop mic to use with my speakers that doesn't pick up background music/game noise. I finally found the solution in this microphone. I was amazed after plugging it in and doing some recording tests to see the clarity of my speech and how it completely removed the background music. I have the mic setup center between two bookshelf speakers (about a foot and a half on each side of the mic). ). Sitting at a keyboard with the mic up (about 2 feet from my head). I was able to play my music and speak relatively loudly, and listeners could barely hear the speakers. I'm not a big fan of headsets/headphones and I'm very glad I finally found a solution that allows me to participate in VoIP situations without wearing them.
