First impressions: it smelled like ammonia not nylon when I got it, otherwise there was nothing that made me think it was anything like any other webbing I've ever used . This summer I used some of these straps and a quick connect to sling my gear around a tree and hustled my men off a multi-stage climb when the gear was already looking rotten at the top. Everyone else went first, backing it up with a beautiful cordelette I didn't want to leave and watching it closely while they pushed. Had a great hold on the water knot without slipping and held up to 4 people with no trouble pushing and sanding the shape wrapped around the log.
