I love coffee. I'm more than likely addicted to this stuff. When I get up in the morning, I want to get up as soon as possible. For such an inexpensive coffee maker (less than $100), I wasn't expecting much. just a reliable car, no fuss. The brewing time is about 12 minutes, which is heaven sent in my particular case. and did I mention the first cup is HOT? This is the first coffee maker I've owned (many in many years) that requires me to gently blow on the first cup after the first sip. And I use no less cream! Excellent! This maker is easy to use and program, and the jug and basket are very easy to clean. I was a bit hesitant to buy this due to the size of the carafe (only 10 cups) but it wasn't a problem at all. This makes 3 cups of 20 ounces at AM. I'm happy! If I had any complaints, the clock could only be programmed for "military" time; So if you don't mind looking at the car's display at 1:30 p.m. that says 1:30 p.m., then that's no problem. I've done my time. I am now a civilian. Like I said. very little chatter. I've only had it for 3 weeks so can't comment on longevity. Just take a look. Everything is taken into account. So far, so good! Update: not exactly post-Trump. The trumpets have stopped blowing and my initial vision is lowered. This coffee maker has worked great up to the last 2 months. The clock loses time; about 5-7 minutes in few days after reset. I have an 80's clock radio that still tells the exact time! That 6-12 minute brew time is 45 minutes to an hour after repeated brushing (can you wait an hour for that morning cup of coffee? Exactly. They really should last you at least a few years. Plus, not that it's a problem .Is there another spare pot?I suggest looking elsewhere.
