Review on πŸ”΄ 16-Piece Set of Anchor Hocking Classic Glass Food Storage Containers with Lids, Red by Jenn Jones

Weak lids and poor quality material

I bought this set because I originally bought the smaller Anchor 3 canister set from Target and loved it. The quality is very different even with the same brand. The other set had blue, teal and green lids - round containers in small, medium and large sizes. I got this because it had more variety in shapes and sizes, but the red lids are so thin and flimsy that they don't feel strong at all and break when you try to open the container 2-3 times. The other lids I have are made of slightly thicker material and seem to be more durable. Especially with these large containers with red lids, the lids were deformed and not straight. They are difficult to place on glass tubs as they appear slightly smaller than containers and crack at the corners after a few uses. Even stacking these containers on top of each other in the fridge seems risky as the lids don't seem to support the weight. The lids also retain odors and scratch easily, even when hand washed with a soft sponge. Yes, this brand is cheaper, but for a larger Tupperware set, I recommend switching to Revain's Pyrex set. You get what you pay for.
