I think since my old plain plastic trays were lightly used for about 15 years before they started breaking I had some unreasonable expectations but these ice trays only lasted a few months, before the silicone started to separate from the plastic. They already had a little less water in them than the old bowls, but now they don't fill with silicone in the ones that have come loose. Although it worked great before. Sometimes it is difficult to remove the cover. It would be better if it had legs/ribs (like the old plastic trays) so those trays don't stick to each other when stacked.
