Expensive toy…. Could be for a girl or a boy. No build up. Small animals are placed in the designated parts of the car and make the appropriate noises when pressed (baa sheep, oink pig, etc.). The farmer plays the song "Old McDonald's Farm" when pressed. Very beautiful. The tractor will NOT detach from the carts it is pulling…. This is a long piece connected by hinges. My 2 year old grandson loved it. And the little animals didn't seem small enough to pose a choking hazard. The gift idea is cute too!
