Review on 🥤 LG LT1000P - 6 Month / 200 Gallon Capacity Replacement Refrigerator Water Filter (NSF42, NSF53, and NSF401) – ADQ74793501, ADQ75795105, or AGF80300704 – White by Gabe Smith

Admittedly it's expensive for 3 filters but buying a pack of 3 filters is the price of 2 bought separately. I also bought a fake brand and had mixed experiences. Sometimes the fake made the water taste like garlic. Other times it was fine. However, when I realized I was avoiding the water fountain in the fridge and my friend remarked that fake ice didn't taste good, I decided to go back to LG. I will say I replaced my first LG filter in 1 year not 6 months. I had no problems, but I decided that one year would be enough. So my philosophy now is to use the LG filter for 1 year and buy 3 at a time. I think I can afford $34 a year. It's interesting to note that I halved the LG filter and the fake filter to see the innards. LG had a thicker charcoal cylinder (about 30% thicker). The white pre-filter was also thicker, completely covering the carbon cylinder in the LG. In general, I was surprised that the fake filters were so similar, but I can feel the difference.
