These are guys doing good things. There are so many Apple/Mac peripherals out there that won't work with one or the other - not like StarTech. It's well built and compatible with whatever you own. I use this in the recording studio where you literally can't afford to have something stop working during a session. You want absolute reliability, and Star Tech is one of the few companies that makes this quality, along with Apple itself. You can pay for genuine Apple stuff (the best) or save a few bucks and go for it. You're not giving it away, but you get Apple quality without "Apple Tax". It won't let you down.
