2019 Tacoma Lower Grille

I couldn't find ANY review on it before I took the plunge so here's one. I wanted to keep the factory fog lights for general use and add spot amber for snow, mud, etc. Factory fog lights are actually very good as fog lights, but yellow is known to provide better contrast in/on snow/mud/dust. So far, so good. This weekend I installed them on the lower grille of my 2019 Tacoma using brackets from CaliRaisedLED and creative use of aluminum tubing from my local Ace Hardware. The beam is very wide, very flat and has a good sharp edge. After aiming, no one blinked their headlights at me. It snowed this morning so I didn't take them off the entire 45 minute commute to work. After a while the lenses get hot, not hot enough to melt the plastic of the grille but warm enough that there isn't an icing problem. Aiming was easy: Park on a level surface 25 feet from a flat wall, measure from the floor to the center of the lens, measure the same distance on the wall, mark (with tape or tape) 4 inches below the height on the wall, align joists so that the cut coincides with the mark. They are more expensive, but I have found that it is better to buy good quality ones at once. I'll update as needed, but so far I'm very happy with it.
